ACTIVITIES
Yoga/Meditation

Designed to bring the body, mind and emotions in harmony using a simple, gentle
yet focused way that improves posture and increases suppleness. At Elemental Embrace
we start the day with yoga/meditation session beginning with gentle stretching
and then Yogasanas (Yoga positions). This is followed by breathing exercises and
a sitting meditation. Meditation is not a concentration that takes effort and
focus but a form of mental freedom. We offer brief instructions, guidance and
expertise so you can take this practice home, and into your daily lives.

These include discussions and practical pointers from the ancient, holistic,
self-healing science that is Ayurveda.

In learning about your body constitution you will deepen your understanding of
your unique nature, using natural methods and remedies such as lifestyle change,
and dietary suggestions to make the modifications you have always wanted to. These
lectures offer suggestions for re-establishing inner harmony to prevent ‘disease’,
creating optimal health and developing inner peace.
Labyrinth
It is believed that in the medieval times pilgrims walked in contemplation. Walking
a labyrinth is a simple form of meditation in which the physical act of walking
helps to calm the mind. A labyrinth is not a maze but a continuous, looping path
which winds to the centre of a circle and out again. Walking it can be seen as
a process of unwinding, coming to a centre or point of insight, and returning
with new knowledge. You can walk it alone, in silence, with a question in mind
or without any particular goal, or accompanied by drumming or music or others.
The walk helps to quieten the mind, foster insight, clarify goals and helps with
meditation. For those of you who can't sit still!
